Our trails meander through pristine old-growth forests, fields dotted with native prairie grasses and flowers, challenging stream crossings, and ponds filled with turtles, fish, frogs, salamanders, and invertebrates.
Trails improve our mental and physical health, connect us with others, and provide a sense of wonderment. But our trails also require continual maintenance with strategic planning, dedicated resources, and sometimes a rest from human impact.
